On Friday, January 22, 2016 a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Geneva Platform of Empowerment for Peace and Humanity (GPEPH) and the Free University of Burkina (ULB). This was an important agreement marking the beginning of a sustained partnership between the two institutions in order to contribute to the promotion of a culture based on the respect of relevant International law rules and contributes to the promotion of a culture based on peace and shared values of humanity through training sessions, research, awareness raising, capacity building, reporting and advocacy for a better implementation of human rights, in particular.

On Friday, January 22, 2016 a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Geneva Platform of Empowerment for Peace and Humanity (GPEPH) and the Free University of Burkina (ULB). This was an important agreement marking the beginning of a sustained partnership between the two institutions in order to contribute to the promotion of a culture based on the respect of relevant International law rules and contributes to the promotion of a culture based on peace and shared values of humanity through training sessions, research, awareness raising, capacity building, reporting and advocacy for a better implementation of human rights, in particular.
Through this MOU, ULB expressed its firm engagement toward offering GPEPH the necessary academic and social environment as well as other logistics to enable it to carry out its activities and intended purposes. GPEPH undertakes, in turn, to contribute to the development of ULB presence in international fora and more specifically to provide students with significant opportunities to help them grow particularly through internships and other professionalizing opportunities, research, training, scholarships other forms of support.
For the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding, GPEPH undertakes to prepare an annual program of activities carefully designed to give effect to this MOU with customized activities within its established strategy and financial resources.
The 2016 program of activities is being prepared and will be submitted to the central administration of the Organization for adoption during the first half of February.

Le vendredi 22 janvier 2016 a eu lieu la cérémonie de signature du Protocole d’Entente entre la Geneva Platform of Empowerment for Peace and Humanity (GPEPH) et l’Université Libre du Burkina (ULB). Il s’agit d’un accord important qui marque le début d’un partenariat soutenu entre les deux structures en vue de contribuer à la paix et la promotion des valeurs partagées de l’humanité à travers la formation, l’information, la sensibilisation, le renforcement des capacités le reportage et la promotion des droits humains.
Par ce Protocole, l’ULB offre à la GPEPH un cadre académique et social propice et divers moyens logistiques devant lui permettre de réaliser ses activités, et partant, ses nobles objectifs. La GPEPH s’engage, à son tour, à contribuer au développement de l’ULB, à son rayonnement international et surtout à offrir aux étudiants des opportunités importantes, notamment, en termes d’acquisition d’expérience, de bourses d’études, de recherches, de formation et de soutiens divers.
En vue de la mise en œuvre du Protocole d’Entente, la GPEPH élaborera chaque année un programme d’activités qu’elle s’efforcera de réaliser dans les limites des moyens et soutiens divers dont elle aura bénéficié à cet effet. Pour ce faire, le programme d’activités 2016 est cours d’élaboration et sera soumis à l’Assemblée générale de l’organisation pour adoption au cours de la première moitié du mois de février.
